Where is the Lünersee?

The Lünersee is situated at the end of the Brandnertal in Vorarlberg.

Arriving by bus & train

The bus line 580 takes you comfortably from Bludenz railway station to Lünerseebahn

No traffic jams, comfortable by bus & train to the Lünersee and back home again.

1 ascent and descent with the Lünerseebahn incl. travel to/from the Lünerseebahn within Vorarlberg and from the border stations Buchs, St. Margrethen (CH), Lindau (D) and St. Anton am Arlberg.

The ticket is only valid on the day of issue.

How to get to Lünersee by car

Via the Lindau or Hörbranz border crossing from Germany: Pfänder tunnel - A14 Rhine Valley motorway - Amberg tunnel - Brandnertal exit
Via Arlberg: Bludenz exit, via Bürs - Brand – Schattenlagant
From Switzerland: Zurich or Chur motorway - Gams exit - (principality of Liechtenstein) - Tisis (Feldkirch) border crossing - A14 Walgau motorway - Brandnertal exit
From St. Gallen (CH): Swiss Rhine Valley motorway - Oberriet-Meiningen exit - motorway towards Bludenz from A14 Rankweil entry - Amberg tunnel - Brandnertal exit

 

  • Please note that a motorway sticker (toll) is required on all Austrian motorways and dual carriageways. You can find detailed information on this at vignette.at. Sales points: Automotive associations (ÖAMTC, ARBÖ), customs, toll booths, service stations and tobacconists.
  • Parking at the valley station of the Lünerseebahn is subject to a fee.

There is a parking lot at the valley station of the Lünerseebahn.

There are 6 charging stations for electric cars, during charging parking is free of charge.

There are 4 parking spaces for the disabled right next to the Lünerseebahn - these are free of charge. The Lünerseebahn is barrier-free.

Opening times Lünerseebahn

18 May – 15 September 2019

Ascent: Every half hour from 8.00 a.m. to 12.20 p.m. and from 1.10 p.m. to 4.55 p.m. (last ascent). 

Descent: Every half hour from 8.10 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. and from 1.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. (last descent). 

Lunch break: From 12.20 p.m. to 1.10 p.m. (continuous operation if required).
