After many memorable gatherings at Lünersee, we’re kicking off the 2026 season with a new concept and cordially invite you to our new event series, “Alphorn Sounds at Lünersee.”

Again this year, against the impressive backdrop of Lake Lünersee, we’re offering a special stage for alphorn players. New this year are the three event dates, spread out over the summer season, which offer guests the opportunity to experience the unique sounds of the alphorn amidst the alpine mountain scenery on multiple occasions. Alphorn groups from Austria, Germany, and neighboring Switzerland will delight audiences with their traditional melodies and create unforgettable moments surrounded by nature. Combine your hike or day trip to Lünersee with a musical experience and enjoy the blend of nature, tradition, and alphorn music.

The participating alphorn groups look forward to welcoming many listeners.

Look forward to an atmospheric day at Lake Lünersee and enjoy the unique sounds of the alphorn against one of Vorarlberg’s most beautiful mountain backdrops. Performing will be the Allgäu Alphorn Women, the Meßkirch Alphorn Group, and the Albstuba Musicians.

Starting in the morning, you’ll encounter the musicians along the Lünersee loop trail, where their traditional melodies will create unforgettable moments amidst the impressive mountain scenery. Starting around 1.30 p.m., the groups will perform together at the Douglass Hütte / the Lünerseebahn mountain station.

Come by, soak up the unique atmosphere, and experience the fascinating sounds of the alphorn up close at Lünersee. The musicians look forward to your visit.
