Are you a fan of ecologically sustainable leisure activities and want to reduce greenhouse gas emissions?
We do too! That's why we support you in this endeavor - with very specific offers. After all, there are a few things you can do to make your trip more sustainable, especially when it comes to travel.
Need an example?
The journey from Bregenz to Lünersee by public transport alone emits around 11 times less greenhouse gas emissions than the journey by car - a huge difference, don't you think?
Arrival by public transport & electromobility
From using public transport such as buses or trains to carpooling and traveling by electric car: there are now numerous environmentally friendly alternatives to traveling by car.
At Lünersee, we value and encourage your efforts to travel in an environmentally conscious way. For example, with the e-charging stations for your electric car in our parking lots and with the inexpensive Green Ticket - a cooperation project with the Vorarlberg Transport Association.
Our goal: to push public transport and at the same time support the emerging field of electromobility. Because we all need to work together for a more sustainable future.
Judith Grass CEO
Green Ticket
We have teamed up with VMOBIL, the mobility platform for Vorarlberg, so that you can travel to the Lünersee in a cost-effective and sustainable way.
Why are we setting an example here? Because we want to promote travelling by public transport and encourage you to travel consciously and sustainably.
The result of our joint efforts with the Vorarlberg Transport Association: the Green Ticket. It not only includes the ascent and descent on Lünersee, but also the journey by bus or train from anywhere in Vorarlberg - including the border stations of St. Anton (Tyrol), Lindau (D) and Buchs / St. Margrethen (CH).
Are you already traveling with an electric car? Then you've already taken the first step towards sustainable travel. After all, in addition to traveling by public transport, electric mobility is a key factor in reducing greenhouse gas emissions - and will continue to be in the future.
To encourage you in your decision for sustainable mobility, we have expanded the range of e-charging stations at Lünersee. You will find six e-charging stations at the parking lot .
Also good to know: thanks to the intelligent charging management of the e-charging stations, your e-car is provided with an output of 5 kilowatts per hour. This means that an electric car with a battery capacity of around 25 kilowatt hours can be fully charged in five hours. In the meantime, you can simply enjoy the mountain scenery by the beautiful Lünersee lake. Another bonus: During the charging process, parking your e-car is free of charge.
Current information
At the moment the loop-path hike around the Lünersee is accessible for experienced hikers only.
Wondering why the Lünersee is so empty right now? In spring 2025, the lake will be lowered as planned to carry out important maintenance work below the water surface.
